What it costs:
Please note that my minimum price is $25.00 Canadian, no matter how short the piece of writing. If you have a very long piece, such as a novel or a memoir, get in touch with me to get a better rate. I am happy to negotiate a fair price.
Light edits—spelling, punctuation and grammar only—would cost you $25+. However, if all you need is a light edit, check the Web, because there are other companies that will do it a lot cheaper than I can. This is basic copyediting that is not complicated, and some companies will provide this service for 2¢ a word.
Where Eclectic Light is priced to your advantage is for longer (or deeper) editing services. For example, if you have a 20,000-word story, even at 2¢ a word you would pay $400! Eclectic Light would provide the service for $60.
